Bezpečnostní management se od obecného managementu liší jako specifické od obecného. Proto také čerpá z aplikovaných manažerských poznatků, ověřených na jiných objektech. V souvislosti s řízením informační bezpečnostní vybírá autorka osvědčené metody a techniky moderního řízení, které stručně charakterizuje a zamýšlí se nad jejich využitím v podmínkách řízení informační bezpečnosti.
