This presentation inform about research, which specifically focuses on the issue of sexually oriented violence, its features, offenders and victims in Czech Republic. It presents selected results of a unique study of a sample of more than 700 offenders, convicted of rape or other violent sex offences, incl. sex murders, in the Czech Republic in years 2007 – 2011 (which represents approximately 2/3 of all offenders convicted of this type of crime there in that period), based mainly on an analysis of criminal court files, written forensic experts´ opinions on the mental state of offenders and criminal records in the Penal Register. 15th Annual Conference of the European Society of Criminology, Porto, 2-5 September 2015
