Recurrent, Arrhythmias, Arrhythmogenic Sources, and Results of Repeat Abaltion in Patients with Primary Longstanding Persistent Atrial Fibrillation
Original language description
Aims: Recurrent arrhythmias and their mechanisms after complex ablation for longstanding persistent atrial fibrillation (LSPAF) lasting >12 months differ from those in paroxysmal AF. The purpose was to asses the spectrum of recurrent arrhythmias and long-term outcome after repeat ablation (ReAbl.). Conclusion: With increasing number of repeat ablations, the proportion of residual AT arising from unmasked localized reentrry sources or atypical ectopic foci prevails. Termination and achievement of noninducibility of the arrhythmia is associated with improved outcome.
