The Point System in Europen Union Member States

Original language description

The point system has at present been implemented in the majority of European Union countries and is regarded as an effective tool in the struggle to keep down traffic accident rates. A cursory glance at the development of traffic accident rates in European countries might lead to the conclusion that introducing a point system is a panacea. Our team is dealing with this question (among others) in more detail in the research project ?Methods and Tools for Increasing the Reliability of the Human Factor inHighway Traffic Safety in the Czech Republic? that is taking place under the auspices of the Czech Ministry of Transportation (under no. CG711-014-160). We are stating some of our findings in this contribution.

Bodový systému je v současné době zaveden ve většině zemí Evropské unie, je považován za účinný prostředek v boji s dopravní nehodovostí. Letmý pohled na vývoj statistik dopravní nehodovosti států Evropy může vést k závěrům, že zavedení bodového systémuje opatřením samospasitelným. Blíže se (mimo jiné) uvedenou problematikou zabývá náš tým ve výzkumné práci ?Metody a nástroje zvyšování spolehlivosti lidského faktoru v bezpečnosti silničního provozu ČR? probíhající pod gescí Ministerstva dopravy ČR (podčíslem CG711-014-160). Některá naše zjištění uvádíme v tomto příspěvku.
