This chapter deals with the European dimension of the Czech foreign policy in 2013. It will tackle the ideological background of the Czech policy in the EU, the government agenda and the contributions of individual stakeholders to the formulation of theEuropean policy of the Czech Republic. The year 2013 was a year of great expectations of a change in the course of the European policy of the Czech Republic. In March, the mandate of President Klaus came to an end. Klaus? negative attitude towards the EUaffected not only the Czech public opinion and the political scene, but also the way in which the Czech Republic was perceived from the outside. Although we did not detect any significant effort to change the perception of the EU in the Czech Republic in 2013, a substantial part of the Czech political scene had an ambition to change the way the Czech Republic was perceived by the rest of the EU.
