Relationship between Anterior Pelvic Tilt and Trunk Flexor/Extensor ratio in military personnel

  • Original language description

In 1999, McGill presented a set of basic endurance tests to assess the trunk muscle endurance [1]. Changes in trunk muscle activity and endurance or inadequate motor control, usually seen with low back pain (LBP), result in decrease of lumbopelvic mobility and stability and reduced sports performance [2, 3]. Tilting the pelvis posteriorly is one of old method to prevent LBP associated with lumbar lordosis [4]. Application of Kinesio tape for posterior pelvic tilt taping is used for reduction of anterior pelvic tilt angle and chronic LBP [5].
