Original language description
The paper focuses on the evaluation of the influence of minor oxides (SO3 and MgO) on the formation of Portland clinker in laboratory conditions. The influence of these oxides was studied in the presence of alkalis. The paper discusses new knowledge concerning the influence of SO3 and MgO on the phase composition of clinker, the alite polymorphs and clinker texture, and the formation of alite in clinkers high in SO3. The results were obtained using optical and electron microscopy, microprobe and X-ray diffraction.
