It was studied 25 varieties of winter wheat, 13 varieties of spring barley, 13 varieties of winter barley and 8 varieties of winter triticale from trials for the List of recommended varieties (Czech Institute for Supervising and Testing in Agriculture) in 2002-2004. Varieties were tested by in vitro methods as for indicators of degradation of nutrients (mainly of starch), and subsequently the chosen varieties of each cereal species were tested individually by the metabolic trials in vivo. On the basis of the results it could be stated, that the highest differences in the nutritive value of grains for ruminants can be expected between varieties of winter wheat. Nutritive value of grains, characterized by the parameters of energetic and nitrogen metabolism, was the best in wheat, than in barley, and at least in triticale.

Studium kvality zrna z hlediska šlechtění obilnin pro vhodnou výživu zvířat

Czech description

Bylo studováno 25 odrůd pšenice ozimé, 13 odrůd ječmene jarního, 13 odrůd ječmene ozimého a 8 odrůd tritikale ozimého odebraných v letech 2002-2004 z pokusů ÚKZÚZ. Metodami in vitro byly získány ukazatele degradace živin (především škrobu) a následně byly vybrané odrůdy každého druhu samostatně testovány bilančními pokusy in vivo. Na základě provedených pokusů lze konstatovat, že největší diference v kvalitě zrna pro výživu přežvýkavců lze očekávat mezi odrůdami pšenice ozimé. Výživná hodnota zrna, charakterizovaná parametry energetického a dusíkatého metabolismu, byla největší u pšenice, následoval ječmen a nejnižší hodnoty byly zjištěny pro tritikale.
