The incidence of Staphylococcus bacteria with a view to MRSA in dairy production
Original language description
We investigated the incidence of bacteria genus Staphylococcus with a view to methicillin- resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in milk samples collected from bulk milk samples of ecological (n=11) and conventional (n=36) farms, from cows (n=421), goats (n=90), sheep (n=82) and from dairy workers (n=12). The identified strains were investigated on the ATB sensitivity. PCR method for mecA gen analysis was provided in all strains preliminarily identified as MRSA (n=75). The results revealed Staphylococcus aureus to be the most frequent species (n=235) compared to other species: S. epidermidis (n=14), S. haemolyticus (n=9), S. chromogenes (n=10), S. lentus (n=2) and S. caprae (n=1). The results of ATB sensitivity was following: OX ? 4 resistant strains(n=4), TE (n=8), E (n=5), C (n=1), SXT (n=2), AMC (n=1), DA (29), CN (n=5), CIP (n=1), VA (n=1), TEC (n=2), RD (n=1), FOX (n=0). The MRSA incidence and the mecA gene detection were negative.
