    Tribological properties of thermally sprayed coatings

  • Original language description

    Thermally sprayed coatings are employed as wear resistant material in many applications, some of which require resistance to abrasive wear. Dry slididng friction and wear behaviour of the three different thermally sprayed coatings were investigated by using sintered alumina (Al2O3) and steel as the mating material. We investigated the influence of surface roughness on the galling properties of thermally sprayed coatings, too.
