This paper deals with life cycle cost management methodology which is one of the new important methods in cost management. A life cycle cost management manages the cost of a systems or products over its entire life span. It is a structured approach thataddresses all the elements of this cost and can be used to produce a spend profile of the product or service over its anticipated life-span. The results of a life cycle cost management can be used to assist management in the decision ? making process where there is a choice of options. The product life cycle cost management can help industrial companies to get competitive advantages.

Příspěvek se zabývá metodikou řízení nákladů během celého životního cyklu produktu (Life cycle cost management), která je jednou z nových, velice důležitých metod v řízení nákladů. Life cycle cost management řídí náklady produktu, popřípadě systému po celou dobu životnosti. Je to strukturovaný postup který řídí věškeré náklady spojené s daným produktem. Výsledky této metodiky mohou sloužit k lepším manažerským rozhodnutím při výběru optimální varianty. Product life cycle cost management může pomoci průmyslovým podnikům získat konkurenční výhodu.
