Possibilities for Enhancing Pressing Force of Pull Down Hydraulic Press

  • Original language description

The aim of this paper is stress-strain analysis of the structure of a hydraulic free forging press in order to enhance its pressing force. The structure consists of an O-frame and a middle crossbeam. Press structures designed without recent computer technology are frequently overlarge and their structures allow for use with higher pressing forces. The analysis identified critical points in the structure and explored possibilities for enhancing the pressing force.
