Investigation of Phase Transformations in High-strength Low-alloyed Steel
Original language description
Properties of new types of steels are controlled by their microstructure produced by heat treatment. Preparation of suitable microstructures requires knowledge of phase transformation temperatures and effects of various cooling rates on microstructure. Dilatometric experiments were conducted with 42SiCr steel at various cooling rates. Besides these, metallographic analysis was performed, Vickers hardness measured, phase transformation temperatures calculated using phenomenological models and transformation diagrams were constructed using software JMatPro. Dilatometric data was used for construction of CCT and DCCT (deformation continuous cooling transformation) diagrams.
