Original language description
This paper presents the concept of STEM and the possibilities of using products based on this concept and their use in education, development (prototyping) and in life in general, not only in industrial engineering. The first part of the paper deals with the characteristics of the STEM concept and a brief overview of the products built on this concept, including a simple demonstration of the program for the BBC micro:bit model and the FischerTechnik model. The second part focuses on the demonstration of the possibilities of using the FischerTechnik kit in education at a technical university, in Industry 4.0 and other areas related mainly to industrial engineering.
