Original language description
The first part of the paper contains the description of Industry 4.0 concept. The different views on this concept and main principles are mentioned. One of these principles is named Smart Factory. The Smart Factory concept is briefly described afterwards. The second part of the paper contains the main chapter – case study, there is described the transformation of a real industrial company into smart factory concept. The case study firstly concentrates on the current state analyses. Then Smart Factory transformation with specified technology is described. Based on the Smart Factory transformation, the realization of this solution is determined, including the implementation of elements and principles of Industry 4.0. Case study results and future plans are summarized in conclusion. Transforming into a Smart Factory and implementing Industry 4.0 technology is an extensive and long-term process. The primary purpose of the paper is to determine potential issues and obstacles faced by manufacturers during their transformation into Smart Factory
