Original language description
The paper deals with the optimization of an induction heater for heating thin metal sheets. The heater consists of the magnetic circuit and system of coils producing almost perfectly transverse electromagnetic field. Investigated is the influence of thearrangement of separate parts of the heater and also frequency of the field current with the aim to optimize effectiveness of the heating process. Theoretical considerations are supplemented by computation of several concrete dispositions by means of professional FEM-based programs and discussion of the results.
