Original language description
The paper deals with the mathematical modeling of induction heating of thin nonmagnetic slabs in the transverse electromagnetic field. The model is given by Fredholm's integral equation describing the distribution of the eddy current density within the slab and non-stationary Fourier's differential equation for distribution of the temperature. The method allows avoiding calculation of the 3D electromagnetic field and respects nonlinear temperature dependencies of all material parameters as well as possible movement of the inductor. The theoretical analysis is supplemented with an illustrative example and discussion of the results.
