The paper deals with mathematical and computer modelling of drive systems containing combined actuators (devices consisting of a launcher and classical DC electromagnet with iron core). The basic model consists of a system of ordinary and partial differential equations describing the time evolution of various electrical and mechanical quantities. The theoretical analysis is supplemented with an illustrative example.
