    The problem analyzed in this paper consists of evaluating the quality of the electromagnetic solution using the subgridding technique in the FDTD method for heterogenous objects. The quality of this solution has been evaluated by comparing the plane wave electromagnetic field components (standard FDTD) with components obtained by FDTD containing subgridding region.
