This paper deals with control system for ac motor drives that employs digital signal processor (DSP) Motorola 56F805. The heart of the system is based on developer’s kit developed by Motorola. The system is extended by proposed circuits (interfaces) that are required for power electronics and electric drives applications. Moreover, we have developed interfaces for specific measurements (certain transient effects, etc.). The system also involve diagnostic mode that in touch with master control unit(in our case mobile computer) provides powerful tool for development of sensor or sensorless control system for variable speed drives.
