Flame retardants are additives, which are used to reduce the flammability of polymers. The issue of their influence on the properties of insulating materials is discussed in this paper. Glass-epoxy composite materials with different flame retardants wereexposed to the long-term temperature stress. Measurement of resistivity and dissipation factor and methods of structural analyses were used to determinate the impact of flame retardant on these materials.
