  • Original language description

    This paper deals with the determination of additional losses in the biggest constructional parts of transformer - in the tank. Additional losses are determinated in the regulation transformer of 25 MVA using the Finite element method. One program is usedfor the calculation of additional losses: 2 dimensional FEMM program. This paper also describes various ways of reducing leakage losses. Shielding of two companies (ETD Transformers a.s. and Siemens AG) are modeled. Various types (various height and thickness) of magnetic and electric shielding are modeled in this paper also.
