Load Flow Analysis with Voltage and Reactive Power Optimization in Distribution Networks
Original language description
One of the most important tasks of the distribution power network is to provide the secured delivery of electrical energy to the customers by maintaining the voltage values on the customer side within their operational limits. To accomplish this aim, several power devices, such as synchronous compensators and generators with automated voltage regulation (AVR), static shunt capacitors, static series capacitors and tap-changing transformers, are used on a mass scale for voltage and reactive power control.Nowadays, this area is even more important because of an increasing number of smaller generators connected to the distribution networks, often based on renewable energy sources or combined heat and power generation units, making the control of voltage and reactive power even more difficult.
