Distribution Power System of the Czech Republic
Original language description
For more than one hundred years, energy policy has been the topic of interest for the Czech government. Strategic decision was made to build the main transportation system (dominantly with nominal voltages 110 and 400 kV). Nowadays, new renewable energysources are being connected to the system bringing new potentials but also new challenges. It is necessary to solve new tasks to sustain stability and reliability requirements in electric power generation, transportation and even distribution. Therefore, advanced systems of Smart Grids and Smart Cities are being currently studied showing promising results for future development of the Czech electric power system.
