This research report offers the overview of today's batteries which is possible to use as an accumulation system for electric vehicles. It is divided into four main parts. The first part is about types of batteries and it compares advantages and disadvantages of different kinds of batteries from old "lead - acid" to new lithium based battery. The second part is about lithium-ion batteries. The third part deals with new lithium - ferrum - yttrium - phosphate batteries and the last part is about their interconnection to electric car battery.
