Original language description
One of the key parameters of electrical energy is the permanent availability. To secure the availability, it is necessary to deal with the reliability of electrical machines and appliances, especially to follow up the weakest parts which are the electrical insulation systems. Phenomenological or physical models are employed for the description of endurance against the degradation. These models can be acquired from accelerated laboratory aging tests, which have to be evaluated properly. The processes connected with material aging are rather stochastic, so it is useful to utilize statistical methods for evaluation of the measured data.
