Electric Degradation of Insulating Systems of Power Transformer Connected to Renewable Energy Source
Original language description
Transformers with insulating system based on the paper and mineral oil are well known and used for decades. Most of the aging mechanisms of such as transformers are more or less known and described. International standards are provided mostly describingthe aging of the insulation based on the temperature (hot spot temperature) measurement and providing model for rest lifetime calculation. Other diagnostic approach on insulating systems could be performed e.g Termogravimetric analysis or Differential scanning calorimetry such for better understanding of insulating system behaviour. In the case of renewable sources usage, in some cases other fluids are being used to provide biodegradability. The aging process of such as fluids is not enough described for using modern on-line monitoring system for condition monitoring. The paper deals with electric degradation investigation of paper oil systems with mineral and biodegradable fluid.
