Vector Control for Single-Phase Multilevel Traction Converter
Original language description
This paper describes the perspective control algorithm for input part of single-phase multilevel converter. This multilevel converter is considering as prospective medium-voltage converter for the ac trolley wire fed locomotives and especially suburban units. The main part of this paper is concern to design and detail description of control algorithm. The current control loop is based on vector control in ?virtual? revolving reference frame linked to a space vector of trolley-wire voltage. A proper function of proposed control strategy has been verified on designed small-scale prototype of the locomotive converter of rated power of 12kW.
