Electrical insulating liquids emphasizing the environment
Original language description
Electrical insulating liquids, which are key components of insulation systems of such important elements of the power system such as transformers, currently have one serious deficiency, namely intolerance to the environment and human health - their uneasy biodegradability. Given the current trend, which is the maximum care and protection of the environment, it is absolutely necessary to eliminate the negative influence of electrical equipment. This requires the necessary development and production of fluids from raw materials that will be inherently environment-friendly and easily biodegradable. This new fluids should not cause the current difficulties and losses. The paper presents the options for getting so far non-existent liquids that would meet the requirements of biodegradability in the current corresponding electrical insulating properties, so that they are technically equivalent to the present day used mineral fluids.
