Ecologically acceptable insulating liquids for electrical appliances
Original language description
Mineral oils, which are currently used as electrical insulation liquids, have due their uneasy biodegradability significantly negative impact on ecology and human health. Thus it is necessary to search for new possible liquids based on vegetable oils ornatural esters, which might substitute crude oil products in practical applications. These liquids are easy biodegradable while economically acceptable at the same time. However liquid emphasizing biodegradability and good electrical insulating properties at the same time is not in central Europe produced yet. This paper suggests new alternative insulating mixtures, which might fulfill the above demands. Such a fluid should be technically equivalent to the currently used mineral oils.
