Original language description
The article is devoted to the influence of the shape of the cold crucible segments on the amount of power losses in the segments. The three different shapes (cylinder, rectangle and trapezoid) of the cold crucible segments were considered. The multi-physic software ANSYS was used to create numerical model. The ratio value of power losses in inductor, segments of cold crucible and melt is shown as a result.
