Original language description
This paper proposes a new ZCS bidirectional buck-boost converter for the energy storage applications. The conventional buck-boost converter is adopted with an auxiliary resonant circuit in order to obtain zero current switching during commutation of mainIGBTs. This paper mainly focused on analysis and simulation evaluation of the boost and buck modes of operations with soft-switching operations. This paper describes the operation principles and simulation results of proposed converter to verify the soft-switching operation and its performance.
