Risk management is a very broad and important task in the area of business management. Many companies try to apply and integrate risk management techniques and tools as a part of the management process. Risk management means applying a systematic approach to assessing and acting on risks in order to ensure that organisational objectives are achieved. Many papers deal with risk management issues in the areas of strategy, operations, finance and information security. The number of papers shows the importance of this topic nowadays. This contribution deals with the modelling of risk in SME companies. The goals of risk modelling are (1) a presentation of selected categories of risks, their impact and assessment; (2) a simulation of various risk scenarios and situations.
