    The use of accurate WAMS measurement for critical states detection in networks with integrated renewable energy sources

  • Original language description

    The paper deals with possibilities of modern precision time-synchronized measurement known as WAMS (Wide Area Measurement System) for detection of operation states, which are very close to critical status with respect to the voltage stability of the power system. There are discussed theoretical approaches to use provided new quality level information and description of implementation application suitable for offline analysis of measured data. Further, there are described indexes evaluating operation status severity. Their value indicates how current operation state is distant from critical state. The application intended for offline analysis of measured data is introduced. The application provides operative analyzing of current stability state and displays color indicator of operation status severity as well as values of indexes in time. Examples of real data sets analysis are also included.
