Original language description
This paper proposes a new ZCS interleaved bidirectional buck-boost DC-DC converter for energy storage applications. The conventional interleaved converter has been improved with the auxiliary resonant cells in order to obtain the zero current turn-off of the main switching evices. The major advantage is the reduction of switching losses in four main switching devices of the main converter by utilizing a less number of auxiliary resonant cells. This paper mainly describes the operational analysis and its simulation for theoretical expectations. The obtained results show the improved performance and soft-switching capability with reduced auxiliary resonant components.
