Brief Insight in Power quality issues in electric traction system with three-phase induction motor operated under different supplying conditions
Original language description
This research reports the results of theoretical investigation into the characteristics and effects of a PWM inverter on the power supply and overall performance of traction motor. The study compares operational performance of two identical ordinary 11kW three-phase motors supplied in a different way. The first motor is connected directly to the inverter and the second motor is supplied from the transformer connected to the same inverter. The aim of the work is to analyse weather the transformer brings any electric power quality or not.
