Transient analysis of multi-circuits transmission lines with respect to inductive and capacitive coupling
Original language description
The paper deals with an analysis of multi-circuits transmission overhead lines which are used for an electric energy transfer on various voltages (EHV and HV) levels. In this case the influence caused by inductive and capacitive coupling among conductors has impact on the both voltage systems which brings some new problems. In this paper a method for the transient analysis of multi-circuits transmission line is presented. It is based on two-port approach, where the phase conductors are modelled with the help of cascades of gamma two-ports that are coupled with the inductive and capacitive couplings. For this network model a system of ordinary differential equations has been formulated and it has been solved in MATLAB. The solution of the system of ordinary differential equations (ODE) provides the time distribution of currents and voltages in all phase conductors and earth wires. Results of some interesting situations as switching on/off processes, short circuits etc. will be presented in this paper.
