Application of approximation function method for modeling of double-circuit power lines in unconventional simulation tools
Original language description
This chapter describes one of possible ways to analytically model double-circuit power lines in softwares and other tools, which are not directly intended for simulations of power engineering processes. In this case, unconventional software DYNAST has been selected to perform steady-state and transient simulations in electrical power systems. The main goal is to provide sufficiently accurate calculation of capacitances for double-circuit power lines with either bare or covered conductors. Inner code structure and operation of selected simulation softwares play a vital role in obtaining reliable results for this type of calculation.
