Prediction of electric power generation from photovoltaic power plants based on available cloud forecast

  • Original language description

The most of European countries are trying to promote electricity production from renewable sources such as photovoltaic, wind, biomass and others, and thereby increasing the proportion of generated electricity from RES. Production of electricity from photovoltaic power plants is characterized by significant variability and it depends on the current climatic conditions and especially on solar radiation and temperature. The aim of this article is to introduce one of the approaches to the prediction of electricity produced from photovoltaic power plants for selected area in the Czech Republic. This prediction will be based on the current available cloud forecast.
