Transformer insulation system is one of the most important parts. During the life of the machine, there is a number of failures from various reasons, but the most common are disorders caused by defects in insulation (up to 26%). It is necessary to pay close attention to transformer insulation system and monitor its status during the entire service life of the machine to be restrained unnecessary disturbances. Any defect and shutdown of equipment can cause power failure, substantial damage to the industry and infrastructure problems. Accidents of transformer carries the risk of fire, environmental damage and loss of life. There are cases where financial damage quantification has reached hundreds of millions of crowns.
