Production companies are adopting new methods to improve the manage - ment of production processes. Cost, quality and time are still key attributes for process improvement and business process management is the core of management in different areas such as quality management and sustainability management. New technologies based on the Internet of Things and Services, SMART solutions and the concept of Industry 4.0 are opening new possibili - ties of business process management implementation. This theoretical paper reviews new trends in business process management and presents methods to implement technologies for Industry 4.0 in various phases of management application.
