The paper deals with the construction design and thermal simulation analysis of double three-phase converter suitable for electric vehicles. It gives a discussion on basic mechanical design and electric topology having both strong influence on electro-thermal operability. Finally, the paper presents thermal analyses of the converter operated at specified loading profile and discusses its impact on the converter lifetime.
