    Bistable fully electromagnetic valve for high-speed and fail-safe operations

  • Original language description

    A novel bistable control valve with fully electromagnetic operation is designed. The valve takes advantage of permanent magnets for assuring stable positions of the valve body and field coils for control of the valve operation. The main advantage of the concept is just fully electromagnetic operation, high dynamic response, safety of the operation, and reduced energy consumption in comparison with traditional electromagnetic valves. Presented is the basic concept of the valve together with its numerical investigation for the case of the first prototype, its experimental verification, fault detection approach, and control.
