    Operating states of load balancer for AC traction substation based on CHB topology

  • Original language description

    This paper deals with study of operating states for AC traction substation. The selected topology of traction substation is described in paper. The topology suitability is discussed with the respect to industrial component parameters (25kV / 50 Hz, substation power 12.5MVA, 3 kV DC-link, switching frequency 250 Hz). The basic theory of power balancing and power quality is documented on phasor diagramand simulation results. The simulation results document selected operation states of electronic balancer based on Cascaded H-bridge converter with PS-PWM.
