Acquisition/development of tesgenerator and SIC converter for
Original language description
This research report describes single-phase model of system converter-cable-motor andresults of overshoot and dv/dt measurement at the terminals of the motor that is connectedto the voltage-source inverter by a long cable. Measurement was made for various cablelengths and inverter switching speeds. This report describes the investigation of main insulation for special samples delivered by VEM.Subject of investigation were dielectric behavior as tan δ and capacitance C dependent on frequencyas well as preliminary evaluation of breakdown voltage and partial discharge inception voltagerespectively. As expected, the dielectric properties (C, tan δ) are decreasing with higher frequencies. It wasobtained that one type of sample has a significantly higher value of capacitance C, which is probablycaused by the changed main insulation (one tap more). That difference is not visible clearly at tanδ, here all samples have more or less the same behaviour. The breakdown voltage was tested by twokinds of test voltage (Pulse and 50 Hz), the partial discharge inception/ extinction voltage (PDIV/PDEV)) only at 50 Hz. The pulse voltage was provided by generator with short rise time (~ 185 ns),and slope ~ 50 kV/μs. The obtained dielectric measurement value show that the one kind of samplehas a higher capacitance than two other samples due to the main insulation is included more taplayer, that leads to start the surface flash over at voltage lower than the other samples. However allsamples can withstand 10kV of the pulse voltage for a week without any breakdown. The measuredpartial discharge is implemented by using AC (50 Hz) voltage, the recorded PRPD pattern show asurface discharge behaviour except one sample (breakdown). All the other samples have almostsimilar values of inception/ extinction voltage. This research report deals with the description of the measurements made on a 100 kWasynchronous motor and standalone stator of the same type of the motor. Both of thespecimens are equipped with tappings to allow the measurement of both, mainwall andstrand insulation stress at various positions within the motor winding. To be able to evaluatethe input dv/dt influence, 2 different inverters were used for the feeding of the windings. Thestep response and the operation with PWM was measured. This research report deals with description of developed simulation model of the systemconverter-cable-motor including the description of the model parameters search.
