Highly Elastic Textile Conductive Ribbons as Frequency Resonators for Wearable Strain Monitoring

  • Original language description

This paper deals with the highly elastic textile conductive ribbons for strain monitoring. These conductive ribbons are suitable for smart textiles and wearable electronic, they are stretchable, suitable for washing and drying. Conductive traces of ribbons are durable and electrical resistance doesn’t change during stretching. Due to this properties, textile conductive ribbons shall be used also as frequency resonators for strain monitoring. Four different conductive ribbons were used and two different shapes of frequency resonators were constructed. The resonant frequency of some samples shifts due to elongation depends on design of the ribbon and shape of the frequency resonator. The resonant frequency is decreasing as a function of elongation.
