This paper introduces a dual-band Wilkinson Power Divider (WPD) utilizing a compact Lowpass Filter (LPF) with a wide suppression band. The proposed divider demonstrates excellent performance at operating frequencies of 0.9 GHz and 2.7 GHz, along with effective harmonic suppression in the range of 4.8 GHz to 11.8 GHz. Moreover, the proposed design achieves over a 50% size reduction compared to conventional WPDs. This harmonic suppression and size reduction are achieved by integrating two LPFs into the WPD branches in place of the traditional λ/4 transmission lines. The proposed lowpass filter has a 3.1 GHz cut-off frequency and provides a stopband from 4.8 GHz to 10 GHz. The harmonic suppression range provided by the LPFs ensures that unwanted signals are effectively attenuated. The suggested design is particularly suitable for GSM communication systems, while size constraints and harmonic interference are critical considerations.
