Polarization and Electric Field Distribution of Stacked Dielectrics at Transient Excitation
Original language description
Electric components are facing new challenges due to modern electronic power supplies used for renewable energies and electric vehicles. Understanding the behavior of material combinations and the resulting field distribution at non-sinusoidal voltage excitation is necessary to design and optimize reliable insulating systems. This study presents a measurement setup to test the polarization models obtained from broadband dielectric spectroscopy measurements against measurements at transient excitation. The frequency and temperature dependent polarization models can be used for circuit simulations containing polarizing capacitors and field simulations at arbitrary waveforms.
