Statistical Analysis of the Glass Transition Temperature of a Thermosetting Resins
Original language description
Thermosetting resins belong among the materials often used in various applications, not only in the electrical industry. The final properties of the resulting products depend on many variables that influence the curing process of the resin during its industrial production. The curing process can be evaluated based on several parameters. One of the most important is the glass transition temperature (T G ), which represents the temperature at which an amorphous polymer changes from a hard/glassy state to a soft/leathery state. Under industrial manufacturing conditions, several parameters can potentially influence this parameter. The content of this paper is aimed at determining the degree of influence of selected parameters from a particular manufacturing process. The results show that the resulting properties can depend on process factors, including the production operator, the amount of compound being prepared, the Shift, and others.
