Parametric Optimization of the Cooling Ducts of the PMSM
Original language description
The paper shows an approach for optimizing the cooling ducts located in the housing of a synchronous generator. The machine consists of cooling channels for the inner air and outer water. The goal is to observe the influence of the dimensions of cooling channels on the temperature of machine components. Firstly, a sensitivity analysis is performed, and based on the results, an optimal design for the machine is selected. For this, an automated workflow was built in Ansys optiSLang connecting tools for changing the CAD geometry, creating a computational mesh, and solving the problem in Ansys SpaceClaim, Fluent Meshing, and Fluent, respectively.
